Two high-profile events, the US Open Tennis Championships and New York Fashion Week, will kickstart the fall calendar. Together, the events draw players, designers, sponsors, celebrities, and VIP travelers from across the globe, turning the New York area into a hub for sport, style, hospitality, and private aircraft activity.

When Will the Events Take Place?

For private jets flying to New York Fashion Week and the US Open, there are several key dates to consider. Let’s start with the US Open, which runs from August 23 through September 13, 2026. All matches take place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens. Business travel to this event requires a bit of extra planning, as it often comes down to which players your passengers want to see.

• August 23-27: Fan week + qualifiers
• August 30-September 5: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round matchups
• September 6-9: Round of 16 and quarterfinal matchups
• September 10-11: Semifinal matchups
• September 12: Women’s singles final
• September 13: Men’s singles final

New York Fashion Week will run from September 10-15, 2026, featuring official shows from some of the world’s top designers. Carolina Herrera, Ralph Lauren, and Thom Brown are part of the names that will headline the shows in Manhattan.

While no flight restrictions or slot requirements are in place during these events, pilots flying private jets to New York should be prepared for a higher volume of traffic upon arrival and at departure.

Where Can You Land Your Private Jet During the US Open & New York Fashion Week?

Signature FOK: Westhampton Beach

Located on the prestigious East End of Long Island, Signature FOK places your passengers close to beautiful beaches and New York City. When flying your private jet to New York Fashion Week or the US Open, Signature FOK is one of the closest airports to the events with space for up to 22 private aircraft.

• No TFR will be in place during the event.
• Signature FOK does not require slots during the events.
• Pilots should be prepared for tow-heavy activity at the facility.
• Limited hangar space may be available.
• Remote parking will be available on runway 1-19.

Depending on traffic, the drive from Signature FOK to the US Open takes around 60-90 minutes. Allow for extra drive time to Manhattan for New York Fashion Week.

Signature TTN: Trenton Mercer Airport

Serving New Jersey’s capital city, Signature Aviation’s TTN terminal places your passengers within 2 hours of both New York Fashion Week and the US Open. This is also a priority location for overflow traffic from TEB, HPN, and MMU. Parking and hangar space will be available on a first-come-first-serve reservation basis.

• No TFR is in place for either event.
• 3rd party vehicles are allowed on the ramp during the events.
• Signature TTN does not require slots to land.
• This location can handle up to 40 private aircraft.
• Easy highway access offers efficient transfers for your passengers.

Signature TEB: Teterboro East and West

Just miles from Downtown Manhattan, Signature TEB offers landing space at two terminals for private jets flying to New York Fashion Week and the US Open. The average commute time is around an hour, making this an efficient jumping off point for your passengers. Our East and West terminals will be operational during the events.

• A TFR is not expected during the event.
• Arrival slots are not required at either terminal.
• 3rd party vehicles will not have ramp access at either terminal
• Taxiway G may be rented to handle overflow parking.
• Be prepared for heavy traffic, especially during the overlap dates.

Signature HPN: White Plains East and West

45 minutes from Manhattan, Signature HPN is another great private aviation terminal for private jets flying to New York. Scenic access to the nearby Hudson Valley is also available to any passengers with extra time to kill. A private crew lounge and car service will be available during both events.

• No TFR will be in place during the event.
• 3rd party vehicles will be allowed on the ramp throughout New York Fashion Week and the US Open.
• Slots are not required.
• This terminal can hold up to 30 aircraft at a time.
• Timely reservations are encouraged to secure the best experience.

Signature MMU: Morristown Municipal Airport

The final New York area FBO for pilots flying a private jet to the US Open or New York Fashion Week is Signature MMU. Drive times to the events can range from 45 minutes to an hour or more. With no pre-requested slot times needed, Signature MMU is ideal for passengers who need speed and convenience during the events.

• A TFR will not be in place.
• Arrival slots are not required at this location.
• 3rd party vehicles will have ramp access during both events.
• The terminal can handle up to 26 private aircraft.
• No construction delays are expected during these events.

Planning and Logistics for Private Jets at New York Fashion Week & the US Open

Traffic

The traffic and busyness that come with New York airports is no surprise to any private charter crew, but it's important to keep in mind that the surge in travel during these events will lead to our terminals being busier than normal.

We recommend proactive communication with your terminal operator to ensure there is no risk of going into gridlock during arrival or departure on these high-traffic days.

Parking

All FBOs are utilized during event-heavy weeks to ensure that as many requests as possible can be accommodated.

The Signature team works together to process hangar requests and determine which FBO is best suited to accommodate guests. These requests are evaluated on a day-to-day basis, as ramps are regularly tight and require active traffic control.

Hangar rentals also come on a first-come first-serve basis and are not guaranteed for all private jets flying to New York. If hangars are full, expect remote taxiway parking where available. Communication with your desired private aviation terminal is encouraged to secure the space you and your passengers need.

Refueling

Ramps are expected to be busier than normal across all New York and New Jersey FBOs. As a result, your crew should consider refueling upon arrival. This can ensure a smoother departure process throughout the US Open and New York Fashion Week events. Be sure to connect with the staff at your arrival airport to schedule this service so you and your crew can skip the hassle when preparing for takeoff.

Communication

Communication across all channels is crucial for a successful private aviation trip from start to finish.
