Signature Flight Support Invests in Customers and Network with Introduction of Resident Premier Program and Facility Upgrades

Oct 13, 2021

Signature Flight Support, the world’s largest network of fixed-base operators (FBOs), has launched an experience-focused program called Resident Premier at NBAA-BACE 2021 that extends best-in-class benefits and advantages to customers based at a Signature FBO. Additionally, Signature has announced plans for newly reconstructed facilities for its locations at the Des Moines Int’l Airport in Iowa and Bedford Hanscom Field in Massachusetts.

The Resident Premier program, designed in partnership with a 12-member advisory council of Signature-based customers, aims to provide a suite of enhancements that appeal to small- and medium-sized aircraft operators, extending network-wide benefits typically reserved for large aircraft fleets. This includes access to discounted fuel and handling at home and on the road throughout many Signature locations in North America and Europe. Signature residents also receive complimentary ground power unit service prior to departure and priority for transient hangar space, reducing operating costs and improving dispatch readiness.

The company is also investing in its properties in conjunction with the resilience of the business aviation industry throughout 2021. This includes a ground-up rebuild of a 6,000-square-foot FBO terminal and 3,500 square feet of leasable office space at Des Moines Int’l Airport, as well as construction of a new 30,000-square-foot hangar, capable of accommodating up to a Bombardier Global Express-sized aircraft.

Signature’s Bedford Hanscom Field will also receive several improvements in two phases, the first of which consists of demolition and construction of a brand new 6,600-square-foot terminal and 12,000 square feet of new aircraft ramp. Phase II includes enhancing three hangars at the airport with the installation of a fire suppression system and electrical improvements.

“We recognize the strength of the B&GA market following the pandemic, and Signature is proactively preparing for the growth of the business aviation fleet, including more aircraft and more flights,” reflected Tony Lefebvre, interim chief executive officer for Signature Aviation. “As we welcome new and returning travelers to our FBOs, we hope to start extending the value and benefits of the world’s largest FBO network wherever they travel.”

Additional enhancements to the Resident Premier are in development as Signature incorporates the feedback of the thousands of aircraft that call one of its hangars home. To learn more, visit signatureflight.com/RP.
