Tennis Majors 2025: A Business Aviation Guide

May 29, 2025

Summer months are upon us in the northern hemisphere, which means tennis majors season is here!

Tennis fans got to enjoy the first of the four tennis major events this past January during the Australian Open, and now the last three are coming up in rapid succession.

As we enter one of the busiest travel periods of the year, this travel guide outlines key logistics and planning insights so you can navigate these high-traffic events efficiently while maintaining a safe and seamless private aviation experience for your passengers.

Tennis Majors 2025 Timeline

  • First up on this summer’s tennis majors schedule is the French Open (also known as Roland-Garros), taking place from May 25-June 8, 2025 in Paris, France. This event will take place at Stade Roland Garros, as has been tradition for the last 98 years.

While the official event dates are May 25-June 8th, spectators may arrive as early as May 19th at 9 AM to see their favorite players practice leading up to the main events.

  • Next up is Wimbledon. As the oldest tennis tournament in the world, and iconic grass playing surface, this upscale event draws half a million spectators every year. Wimbledon 2025 will take place from June 30-July 13.

  • Rounding out the tennis majors 2025 season from August 25 - September 7, 2025 (with Fan Week from August 18-21) is the US Open. The only hardcourt tennis tournament of the season, the US Open takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York City.

Planning and Logistics

Between every tournament location and a variety of Signature terminal options, there are significant tennis majors flight coordination logistics for flight planners and pilots to navigate. The key to a seamless experience remains the same—communication and awareness of expectations at every private aviation terminal.

Traffic

Heavy traffic to aviation terminals is common in major cities like Paris, London, and New York, and following safety policies and procedures remains as important as ever. Some terminals may be busier than others, depending on which event your passengers are traveling to. Remember to communicate early and often with our dedicated terminal staff to ensure a smooth experience at every turn.

Parking

Parking and hangar space requests can cause traffic jams if not booked well in advance. Most Signature locations featured in this guide ask for a hangar request form to be filled out before arrival. Plan ahead by contacting your Signature location of choice and making a parking plan.

Refueling

In addition to planning ahead for parking, remember to have a fueling plan in place as well. Our recommendation is to fuel up upon arrival, rather than waiting for your departure flight time. Multiple Signature locations will have extra staff to accommodate increased fueling needs during the 2025 Tennis Major events.

Communication

In the days and weeks leading up to your passengers’ tennis majors event of choice, prioritize communication with Signature Aviation through email, phone, and Flightbridge. In addition to your communication efforts, Signature will provide NOTAM updates for pilots to check prior to the trip.

The Signature Aviation Experience

Our goal is to provide a world-class experience for pilots, crews, and passengers. Our terminals are equipped with all of the needed amenities for a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Safety and Security

Safety and security are always the top priority for Signature Aviation staff—for events like the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open, rest assured that Signature staff are on high alert for the safety of your passengers and crew on and off the ramp.

Hotels and Transportation

Do your passengers have lodging plans for their tennis tournament travels? If your passengers or any crew members need specific recommendations, Signature is happy to share our list of recommended hotels based on your location, as well as rental car booking in partnership with Go Rentals.

Whether your passengers are flying to see one Major event or all three, Signature is happy to provide a seamless private aviation experience from arrival to departure.

Can I plan a multi-stop private flight to all three tennis majors?
