February 10, 2025

Professional basketball has experienced plenty of excitement in 2025 so far, and the spectacle is continuing on Valentine’s Day weekend with the classic All-Star Game coming to San Francisco.

Following the celebrity game, the dunk contest, and the mascot game, the All-Star game will take place on February 16th. Along with the rookie all-star team, Teams Shaq, Kenny, and Chuck will showdown for the final All-Star mini-tournament.

Signature Aviation knows that the All-Star Game brings a significant amount of private aviation travel. Keeping our guests prepared for high-traffic scenarios is our highest priority—keep reading to find out more about where to land and how to create the smoothest trip when flying a private plane into San Francisco to one of our Fixed Base Operators (FBO)!

All-Star Game 2025 Timeline

The All-Star Game weekend will take place from February 14th-February 16th. The basic timeline of events will occur as follows:

February 14th

Attendees will enjoy live music, the All-Star Celebrity Game in the Oakland arena, and the Castrol Rising Stars game.

February 15th

The events ramp up as the All-Star Games near with live practices and the classic Skills Challenge, Three-Point Contest, and Slam Dunk Contest.

February 16th

Finally, the event everyone has been waiting for—the 74th All-Star Game will take place in a mini-tournament format, beginning at 5:00 PM PST. The championship game will come after the two semifinal games, where the first team to meet 40 points will win.

The multi-day nature of this full-weekend event will draw spectators for several days, with many traveling at different times throughout the weekend based on which events they plan to catch in person. No matter when your crew and passengers happen to travel, the Golden City will be a glad host for a variety of activities during and between All-Star Game events.

Where to Land

Signature Aviation boasts a number of private aviation terminals with easy access to the Chase Center. Wherever your flight lands, passengers and crews alike can enjoy the amenities available between flights and additional travel arrangements.

The top options for flying private jets to the All-Star Game are:

San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

Fly your aircraft to San Francisco into SFO, the city’s largest international airport and the ultimate location for access to all that Northern California has to offer. Roughly 30 minutes from The Chase Center, this airport is the closest to the event venue and doesn’t require any bridges or tolls on the trip there.

Here are important guidelines for pilots and crews to be aware of at SFO for the All-Star Game weekend:

  • An event fee of $400 will be in place from 2/13/2025 to 2/17/2025.

  • No slot restrictions are required at this terminal.

  • 3rd party vehicles will not have access to ramp during the event.

  • Due to limited ramp space, a PPR (Prior Permission Required) program will be in place for all overnight parking from 0600 hrs on 2/13/2025 to 2359 hrs on 2/16/2025.

Oakland International Airport (OAK)

Similar to SFO, the OAK private aviation terminal is roughly 30 minutes from the All-Star Game venue. With outdoor activities in Oakland and quick access to San Francisco, OAK is a destination with ample ramp space, low costs, and plenty of available parking. Key information for crews landing at OAK are:

  • An event fee of $400 will be in place from 2/13/2025 to 2/17/2025.

  • No slot restrictions are required at this terminal.

  • 3rd party vehicles will be allowed on the ramp during this event.

Hayward Executive Airport (HWD)

Enjoy the strategic location of HWD for access to the Bay Area. Only 35-40 minutes from the Chase Center, your passengers can enjoy full access to San Francisco while still landing a bit further from the city center. Like all Signature terminal locations, HWD is committed to world-class guest service for every passenger and crew member who lands at our terminal. Some key pieces of information to be aware of are:

  • No slot restrictions are required at this terminal.

  • 3rd party vehicles will be allowed on the ramp during this event.

  • HWD’s biggest runway is 5694. Operators may be limited by the length of runway depending on final destination, fuel, and weather conditions.

  • This airport is strictly GA.

Planning and Logistics

The more aware your team can be of the logistics of the private aviation terminal they’re flying into, the smoother and easier their arrival and departure experiences will be. No matter which terminal your passengers or flight planners have chosen, Signature is prepared to ensure a seamless, enjoyable, and safe experience for every traveler flying on a private plane to San Francisco for the 2025 All-Star Game.

Traffic, Parking, and Fueling

While slot restrictions are not required at any of these airports for the All-Star Game, there is still important traffic management information to keep in mind.

Making reservations as early as possible for overnight parking ensures the smoothest experience for your arrival. Reservations enable Signature teams to adequately plan, allocate resources, and provide the best possible guest experience for everyone who visits a Signature Aviation FBO.

Conversely, hangar parking is first-come, first-serve at most Signature terminals. We strongly encourage pilots to take advantage of these services immediately upon arrival to ensure the chance of getting a hangar spot for your aircraft, depending on the terminal.

Having a fueling plan in place is paramount for a smooth aviation experience, and Signature highly encourages early aircraft fueling whenever possible.

Communication, Safety, and Security

Signature’s private aviation terminals utilize operations control centers and close communication with tower and airport authorities to ensure consistent updates on event-specific information.

No matter the event, safety and security are the absolute top priority for every Signature Aviation service and guest interaction. During the All-Star Game weekend, every terminal servicing the San Francisco area will prioritize additional staff, local law enforcement, and an all-hands-on-deck approach to ensure safety is prioritized at every turn.
