Inverness Airport is located at Dalcross, 10 miles east of Inverness, which was granted City status in the year 2000. Inverness is the Gateway to the Highlands and some of the most spectacular scenery in the world is only a short distance away; a stupendous mixture of mountains, rivers, ocean, fauna and flora. The surrounding area also boasts many excellent golf courses, together with fishing, shooting and other outdoor activities. Inverness is the business hub of the Highlands and Islands, and is close to Loch Ness - the home of the monster.
